GENERAL RULES NO KNOBBY TIRES ALLOWED. Any problems, concerns, or complaints about the race, racer, or scoring must be taken to sign-up booth IN WRITING. DO NOT BOTHER ANY OTHER STAFF MEMBER WITH THESE MATTERS. PIT AREA RIDING – Maximum speed is 5 MPH. No quads or pit bikes will be allowed outside the pit area. PROTEST: Protester must contact official in writing with discrepancy and protest fee of $150 per discrepancy (displacement, width, etc.) within 30 minutes of the race being protested. Track official will appoint someone to perform teardown. Only the rider, official, mechanic, and protester allowed to be present during teardown. If no discrepancy is found, $100 will be awarded to the rider being protested. $50 will be paid to the mechanic. PENALTIES: If a rider is found in violation of a rule, they will forfeit all previous points and be disqualified for the remainder of the series. $100 will be returned to the protester and $50 will go to the mechanic. The following items will be inspected before the start of the race by an appointed official. Any racer not meeting these requirements WILL NOT be allowed to race. Number plates are required on both the front bumper and the rear grab bar. Number must be readable from scoring stand. Quad numbers will be issued first come first served at registration. Helmets and boots are required of all racers. If boots are tie type they must be double knotted and excess placed inside the boot. Long pants mandatory. Long sleeves advised. Chest protectors, racing pants, and goggles are highly recommended. A working tether type safety kill switch is required to be on each quad for practice or racing. Nerf bars required. Must have legal racing type tires. NO KNOBBIES. The race promoter has the authority to force a rider up to a more advanced class if it is felt that the rider is too advanced for their current class. Those entering the Expert classes must stay in the expert classes for the remainder of the season unless the permission is given by the promoter to go down a class. Those in other classes may switch to another class if their quad meets class requirements. POINTS WILL NOT TRANSFER FROM ONE CLASS TO ANOTHER. All Amatuer classes have 1 throw away race, which will automatically be the lowest points race. Expert classes have no throw away points. POINTS – Awarded to each main event race in each class as follows – 1st – 30, 2nd – 25, 3rd – 21, 4th – 18, 5th – 16, 6th – 15, to 20th by 1 point increments. In the event that a season end tie occurs, the tie will be broken by determining which rider has the most 1st place wins. If then not resolved, it would than be which one has the most 2nd place wins and so forth until the tie is resolved.
